You've decided that it's time to get your custom closet. You've budgeted for it, you've come up with all the features you want it to have, and now you're ready to begin the installation process. If you've contacted a custom closet company, how do you know that they're trustworthy? If the company isn't quality, you shouldn't be trusting them with your custom closet installation. So how can you tell? We've put together a list of questions that will help you understand whether or not the company you've chosen is trustworthy.
The closet companies of today no longer use paper to sketch out a rendering of what your custom closet will look like- we use software that renders a 3-D image of what it will look like. This was you can better see what the layout will look like, and the process is simpler! You won't have to wait around for a sketch. If a company is still sketching out the renderings, it means they're an outdated company. If you're trying to create the best custom closet, do you really want to be hiring a company that's not up-to-date on their practices?
When you schedule your closet consultation, you'll be having a closet consultant come and work with you. Being the customer, you may have questions or concerns regarding your custom closet. Now, this one is pretty common sense- the closet consultant needs to be able to answer all of your questions and concerns. If they have to call their boss, or "get back to you", this should be an immediate red flag. You're hiring them to be closet experts, so they should be knowledgeable in every step of the process. If they aren't, should you really trust them with you custom closet project? Rule them out immediately in this case.
This seems like a simple one, but it's important. If you're hiring a company to create a custom closet for you, it should be just that- custom created to suit your needs. This means they should be listening to what your needs are and creating a rendering of the closet from there. If they're trying to sell you a pre-made closet layout, it should show you the company is more interested in their money than working to provide you with a closet that will suit your needs. These are supposed to be custom, so if they aren't creating a custom closet on the spot with you, this should be a problem.
